The Nissan Leaf returns for 2013 available in three trims: S, SV and SL. The LEAF is now assembled in the United States at Nissan's Smyrna, Tennessee assembly plant. Updates include improved energy efficiency and a newly available 6.6 kW onboard charger that reduces 220V charging time nearly in half to approximately four hours for full charge. The LEAF's Zero-emission power train is powered by laminated compact lithium-ion batteries, which generate power output of over 90kW, while its electric motor delivers 80kW/280Nm. The IT system is connected to a global data center, the system can provide support, information, and entertainment for drivers 24 hours a day. A monitor mounted on the dash displays the remaining power and also shows a selection of nearby charging stations. The system also gives you the ability to use mobile phones to turn on air-conditioning and set charging functions.
