For 2012, the Ram Pickup receives a number of significant updates. There are 11 Ram trims to choose from: Tradesman, Express, Outdoorsman, ST, SLT, Sport, Sport R/T, Lone Star, Big Horn and Laramie Longhorn. This year, Ram features a unique RamBox cargo management system that provides various storage configurations that are lockable, waterproof, as well as illuminated. Also available are heated and ventilated front seats, surround sound premium audio system, side seat airbags (late availability), and a factory spray-in bed liner offered across the model line. Updates to engineering features include a revised torque converter for improved fuel efficiency, as well as a new six-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Range Select (ERS). Ram features over 30 safety features, including hill start assist and trailer sway control.
