The 2012 Dodge Charger is offered in SE, R/T RWD and AWD, SRT8. The SE features a 292 horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine while the R/T is equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine that generates 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to a new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. SXT and SXT Plus models equipped with the Rallye Appearance Group or Blacktop package receives new paddle shifters with "Sport" shift mode. Safety and security features on the Dodge Charger include adaptive-cruise control with Forward Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection and ParkView rear back-up camera with grid lines.
