After a well received redesign for the 2011 model year, the Kia Optima returns for 2012 with no major changes and is offered in LX, EX and SX trim levels (a Hybrid will be available later in the year). The Optima features three available powertrains, which includes a turbo (EX trim level only). The engine makes use of a direct injection management system to balance both fuel efficiency and performance factors. LX models come with dual exhaust, solar glass, 16-inch wheels, and integrated turn signals. EX trims upgrade the LX with heated outside mirrors, fog lights, chrome accents, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The top-of-the line SX makes standard 18-inch wheels, HID headlamps, front black brake calipers, and other exterior treatments to enhance the sporty appearance.
