The 2012 Subaru Outback is available in six models: 2.5i and 3.6R in Base, Premium and Limited trims. The 2.5i is powered by a 170 horsepower 2.5L four cylinder engine while the 3.6R is equipped with a 256 horsepower 3.6L six-cylinder engine. As with all Subaru vehicles, the Symmetrical AWD is standard across the model line. The 2.5i Base comes with reclining rear seats, remote keyless entry, and auto on/off exterior lighting. Premium trims add privacy glass, power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Among other features, the top-of-the-line 3.6R Limited comes with leather seats, power passenger seat, and Harmon/Kardon audio system. The only changes for the 2012 model year are updates to the audio system, with the higher trim levels now featuring a standard USB port.
