The 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer is offered in new SE, DE, ES, Evolution, GT and Ralliart sedan, and ES and GT Sportback. The SE trim was designed for the Snowbelt states and includes heated front seats and side view mirrors. Powering the SE is a 2.4L four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously-variable transmission (CVT). The Ralliart is powered by the 2.0L turbocharged engines that produces 237-horsepower and features all-wheel drive with Active Center Differential as standard equipment. The engine is mated with a Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift transmission with magnesium paddle shifters. The Lancer Sportback has an overall length is slightly longer than its sedan counterpart but the cargo capacity (enhanced with 60/40 split fold rear seats) is significantly increased. The rear floor of the GT can be lowered by three inches, yielding a total of 52.7 cubic feet of cargo room.
