The 2012 Nissan Versa is offered in both four-door hatchback and sedan bodystyles. The 2012 sedan has been entirely restyled, while the new hatchback will be offered as a 2013 model year vehicle. Offered in S, SV and SL trim levels, the all-new sedan is built on Nissan's global "V" (for versatile) platform, which uses fewer components and weighs nearly 150lbs less than its "B" platform predecessor. Versa sedan features a lighter more compact engine featuring a continuously variable timing and control system similar to that used in the Maxima. Available equipment on Versa includes a navigation system with XM NavTraffic, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB input for MP3 devices. Versa hatchback receives only minor updates for the 2012 model year.
