Having been refreshed last year, the 2012 Toyota Matrix is carried over with no changes. It is available in two trims: Base and S. The Matrix is powered by a 1.8-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine, which produces 132 horsepower and 128 lb.-ft. of torque. Standard features across the model line include power color-keyed mirrors, daytime running lights, side and head curtain air bags, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The S trim adds cruise control, remote keyless entry, AM/FM/CD with MP3 capability and six speakers, front and rear underbody spoilers and fog lamps. Stability control and traction control are standard on all Matrix models. Only the S is offered with four-wheel drive.
