The 2012 flagship sedan for Mercedes-Benz S-class is carried over to the new model year with minor changes. This year the line-up is offered in seven trims: S350 BlueTEC (new), S400 Hybrid, S550 (2WD and 4MATIC), S600, S63 AMG, and S65 AMG. The new BlueTEC model has a more fuel efficient 3.0L V6 engine and features standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive, while the top-of-the-line S65 comes with a V12 powered 621hp engine. The hybrid features a display which shows constant energy flow, engery recovery and battery charge level. The S550 is powered by an brand new 4.6L V8 which produces more power, while increasing fuel economy. All models are equipped with several technological amenities, including a hands-free communication system, a driver's information system, the COMAND system, a voice control system, and a hard drive-based GPS navigation system. A "Splitview" dual content screen (where allowed), is also standard.
