Kia's small, modern (yet funky) wagon, marketed towards the youthful urban set, returns for the 2012 model year offered in Base, Soul+, and top-of-the-line Soul! Exclaim trim levels. Updates for the new model year include a minor exterior refresh with changes to the front and rear fascia, headlamps, taillights, and mirrors. An upgraded interior further reduces NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) for a quieter ride. The new 1.6L engine achieves up to 35 MPG on the highway, and the new Idle Stop and Go (ISG) capability further enhances fuel efficiency. Also standard for this year is a tilt/scope steering column, vehicle stability system, and hill ascent assist. An Infinity premium audio system is optional on Soul+; while a color touchscreen monitor featuring a Microsoft powered voice activated infotainment system will be available this fall.
