After a major redesign in 2011, the 2012 Kia Sorento returns for this year with only minor changes. A new gasoline Direct Injection Technology engine sees an improvement in fuel economy. The Sorento features Kia's new UVO powered by Microsoft (R) hands-free infotainment and communications system. The Sorento has been Kia's bestselling vehicle since its introduction in January of last year. It is the first vehicle built in the West Point, Georgia production plant, and is on its way to becoming the first vehicle for Kia to sell over 100,000 units in a single year. As a result of an audit and investigation by the EPA, Hyundai and Kia have posted reduced mileage ratings for most of their 2012 and 2013 vehicles; if applicable, MPG ratings shown have been adjusted as of November 2012.
