The 2012 Hyundai Tucson sees a number of updates for the new model year. Tucson continues to be offered in GL, GLS, and Limited trims (the GL features a 2.0L engine, while the rest of the line-up have a standard 2.4L engine). New enhancements include an active ECO System which controls the powertrain throttle response as necessary to maintain optimum fuel efficiency; low rolling resistance tires (GLS), improved HVAC system, and larger fuel tank capacity. GLS trims feature a Sachs Premium Suspension as standard, as well as side repeater exterior mirrors. Solar glass has been added as standard equipment across the line, in an effort to reduce interior temperatures and the need for air conditioning while driving. Front wheel drive models also have larger front disc brakes.
