For 2012, the Hyundai Genesis sedan returns in three trims--3.8, 4.6, and a new 5.0 R-Spec (a base 5.0 model will be added later). A host of changes are seen this year, including a more athletic grille and front fascia, sportier rocker panel design, folding side view mirrors with integrated puddle lights, and redesigned tail lights and headlamps (with LED daytime running lights). The interior also features updated wood grain trim choices. The 5.0 R-Spec model has a standard 429 hp engine, special 19-inch wheels, dark chrome headlight inserts, as well as specially tuned sport transmission, suspension, and steering. All models now come with an 8-speed automatic transmission. One new exterior color, Twilight Blue Pearl is also available.
