The 2012 Ford Escape continues no major changes this year, and continues to be offered in XLS, XLT, and Limited trims in either 2WD or AWD. Hybrid models are available in Base or Limited in 2WD and AWD. Standard on the Escape is an Integrated Spotter Mirror, MyKey System (XLT and Limited), heated seats and mirrors and Cargo Package (Limited only), and a rear view camera (Hybrid Limited). Optional equipment available includes an Auto Park system, rear view camera, and a universal garage door opener. The 3.0 V6 which is optional on some trims, is Flex Fuel capable. The four-wheel drive system on the Escape works to help wheel slippage and increase driver confidence and vehicle handling in inclement weather conditions.
