The 2012 Volvo XC90 is available in two trims: 3.2 and 3.2 R-Design. The 3.2 models are powered by a 3.2L inline six-cylinder engine that generates 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The 3.2L engine is mated to an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with Geartronic. The R-Design trim upgrades the base 3.2 with larger wheels and tires, R-Design tuned suspension and steering, R-Design grille, leather seating surfaces with embossed R-Design logo on the front seats, R-Design steering wheel, R-Design watch dial instruments and floor mats.
