The 2012 Volvo XC60 is available in three trims: 3.2 and T6 AWD, and T6 R-Design AWD. The 3.2 comes standard with a 240 horsepower 3.2L six-cylinder engine while the T6 receives a 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. The R-Design trim sees a more powerful engine this year at 325 hp. Standard amenities on the T6 include all-wheel drive with Instant Traction, 18-inch wheels (19-inch wheels are also available as an option), HD Radio, and Trailer Stability Assist for more towing stability. The City Safe feature is designed to alert the driver to potential situations where a collision may be impending based on closing speed and vehicle proximity data under 19 mph or less.
