The GMC Yukon returns for 2012 with relatively minor updates. It continues to be available in either short or long wheel base (XL) and in either half ton (1500) or three quarter ton (2500) bodystyles. Trims include SLE, SLT, and Denali, Hybrid and Denali Hybrid. Updates for the model year include two new colors: Crystal Red Tintcoat and Quicksilver Metallic, as well as an new hard drive navigation system with USB port, Time Shift Recording capability and optional Sirius XM Weather Service and satellite radio. Recovery hooks have been made standard across the model line. Heated leather seats are standard on SLT grades, while the Denali trims come with Side Blind Zone alert as an added safety feature. Yukon XL features an available third row screen for the entertainment system. For increased control and handling, the Stabilitrak system includes trailer sway control and hill start assist as well.
