The 2011 Nissan Xterra is offered in a simpler line-up, and is available in three trims: X and S (in two or four-wheel drive), and PRO-4X (featuring standard part-time four-wheel drive. All models are powered by a 261 horsepower 4.0L V6 engine coupled to either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission, and are built on an "F-Alpha" truck platform for enhanced off-road capability and performance. Xterra S now comes with bodyside moldings, with a first aid kit and rear tire deflector equipped on 2WD S trims. PRO-4X models see a freshened white-faced gauge cluster, as well as two new exterior color choices: Lava Red and Metallic Green. The only option group on the PRO-4X is a Leather Package.
