The 2011 Ram Dakota is available in extended and crew cab bodystyles and in three trims: ST, Big Horn, and Laramie (crew cab only) trims. Choice of engines includes a 210 horsepower 3.7L Magnum V6 and a 4.7L V8 engine that produces 302 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is mated to a four-speed automatic while the V8 is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The V8 is E85 compatible and is equipped with Electronic Throttle Control. An optional Premium Sound Group on the Big Horn models adds a 276-watt amplifier, Alpine speakers, Sirius radio feature w/1-yr of service, AM/FM stereo w/6-disc CD/DVD changer and MP3, leather-wrapped steering wheel and steering wheel touch controls.
