The Tesla Roadster sees an update to a 2.5 version receiving a revised front fascia and rear diffuser. For 2011 it's offered in two trims--Base and Sport. Unlike the Fisker Karma, the Tesla Roadster is an electric only vehicle powered by an AC induction air-cooled electric motor and single speed gearbox. Both models feature a top speed of 125 mph, with the Base coming in at 3.9 seconds for 0-60 mph (3.7 for the Sport). Because of its upgraded power control hardware, the Tesla is able to perform equally well in extreme hot or cold climates. 2011 also sees an improvement to the seats with better lumbar support for more driving comfort. The Roadster features an EV range of 245 miles and can be fully charged in as little as 3.5 hours with the Tesla High Power Wall Connector. Sport models feature an adjustable suspension, and forged alloy wheels. Though Roadster production is nearing an end in North America, the new Model S will be starting next year.
