The 2011 Nissan Maxima continues in two trims, 3.5 S and 3.5 SV, with no significant changes for this year. Dubbed the "4-Door Sports Car (TM)" by Nissan, both models come equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine that generates 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) that features a manual sport model with optional paddle shifters. Updates this year include a new tailpipe finisher, smoked front headlights, dark chromed grille, and special gray seat stitching (all with the Sport Package), and two new exterior colors: Metallic Slate and Brilliant Silver. Technology equipment offered includes a premium audio system, rearview monitor, navigation system (with Real-Time Traffic and Weather and voice recognition), as well as 9.3GB Music Box hard drive.
