The 2011 Honda Insight is available in three trims: Base, LX and EX. Updates for this model year include the addition of a base model, the LX adds cruise control, a USB audio interface, center armrest storage console and floor mats as standard equipment and the EX adds steering wheel-mounted audio controls as standard. All models are powered by a 1.3-liter 4-cylinder i-VTEC gasoline engine combined with a 10-kilowatt electric motor. The combined output and torque of the engine and motor is 98 horsepower and 123 lb-ft. of torque. The engine and motor are mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission. Standard features on the Insight include automatic climate control, power windows, power door locks with remote entry, tilt and telescopic steering column, projector-beam headlights and LED brake lights.
