Introduced two years ago, the 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan compact crossover is a carried over for this year with only a minor freshening, though the line-up has been expanded this year to include S, SE, and SEL (with or without the 4MOTION all-wheel drive) as well as models with standard navigation system, moonroof, and/or Dynaudio sound system. All models are powered by a 2.0L Turbo engine boasting 200 horsepower and 207 ft-lb of torque. The Tiguan features second-row seating that can split fold and slide/tilt. Heated seats with full leather interior are standard on SEL, and the S is the only trim with an available manual transmission. A hybrid model is rumored to be in the works.
