The 2011 GMC Canyon is available in regular cab, extended cab and crew cab bodystyles and a choice of Base (Work Truck), SLE or SLT trims (SLT not available on regular cab vehicles). The Canyon sees only minor equipment changes this year including new front-seat headrest design, OnStar 9.0, standard Bluetooth connectivity for hands free calling and a new Chrome package that contains chrome fuel door and chrome exhaust tip. One new exterior color choice has been added: Aqua Blue Metallic. The GMC Canyon is a sister vehicle to the Chevrolet Colorado. Future plans are to discontinue the production of the Canyon by June of 2012 with a new model not arriving for at least a couple years after.
