The 2011 Toyota Matrix is carried over with no changes, and is available in only two trims this year: Base and S (the XRS has been dropped from the lineup). The only major change this year is the addition of enhanced safety equipment through a standard brake-override system. Other standard features across the model line include power color-keyed mirrors, daytime running lights, side and head curtain air bags, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The S trim adds cruise control, remote keyless entry, AM/FM/CD with MP3 capability and six speakers, front and rear underbody spoilers and fog lamps. Stability control and traction control are standard on all Matrix models. Only the S is offered with four-wheel drive.
