Introduced in 2010 with a complete redesign, the 2011 Ford Taurus is carried over with few changes this year, and continues in six models: SE, SEL, SEL AWD, Limited, Limited AWD and SHO. All but the SHO are powered by a 263 horsepower 3.5L V6 engine, paired with a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The SHO receives a Super High Output (SHO) EcoBoost twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine that produces 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The navigation system now features HD radio and SYNC compatibility. Safety features include trunk entrapment release, tire pressure monitor, dual front airbags, front and rear head curtain airbags, and front side impact airbags. New exterior colors include Bordeaux Reserve Red Metallic, Kona Blue, and Sterling Gray.
