The 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander is carried over from last year with minor updates. Offered in five trims--ES, SE, XLS in 2WD, and SE and GT 4WD, the entire line features enhancements to the engine management system resulting in improved fuel economy ratings. The top-of-the GT sees an introductory price reduction of about $1700 as compared to model year 2010. Outlander SE now comes with a 3rd row seat as standard, along with upgraded leatherette trim offered as part of the premium equipment package. XLS trims are now distinguished by the addition of standard xenon HID headlamps, chrome exterior accents, blacked-out front end treatments, and aluminum pedals. ES and XLS 4WD models have been discontinued from the line-up.
