The 2011 Mercedes-Benz S-class is carried over to the new model year with minor changes. This year the line-up continues in six trims: S400 Hybrid, S550 (2WD and 4MATIC), S600, S63AMG, and S65 AMG. S550 is equipped with a 382-hp 5.5L V8, while the S600 boasts a 5.5L V12 twin turbo producing 510 horsepower and 612 ft-lbs of torque. AMG S63 features a new 5.5L biturbo V8 that outputs 536hp, as well as new 19-inch wheels and tires. The top-of-the-line S65 sees a bump in output to 621hp. All models are equipped with several technological amenities, including a hands-free communication system, a driver's information system, the COMAND system, a voice control system, and a hard drive-based GPS navigation system. A new "Splitview" dual content screen (where allowed), is also standard this year. One new exterior color choice is offered--Magnetite Black.
