The 2011 Hyundai Elantra is offered in both sedan and wagon (Touring) bodystyles. Wagons are available in SE and GLS trims (the GLS is new for the Touring), with the sedan, having been redesigned for the new model year, now offered in only GLS and Limited trims. Other updates to the sedan include a "segment first" standard heated rear seat (Limited only), along with available touch-screen navigation system (also standard on Limited). Regardless of whether the sedan is equipped with an auto or manual transmission, both trims see in increase to 40 MPG highway. All Elantra models come with six standard airbags, including side-curtain airbags, designed to protect outboard passengers in the front and rear seating positions. The SE comes with a firmer, sport-tuned suspension and has standard stability control.
