The 2011 Ford F150 is offered in a number of trim levels including new XLT Custom and Lariat Limited models. Major changes for this year include all new engines across the model line, which is the biggest change in powertrain availability in the vehicle's 62 year history. All power plants are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and four engines being entirely new to F150; a 3.7L V6, 5.0L and 6.0L V8, and a twin turbo 3.5L EcoBoost. As a result of the change, the line-up sees an average of 20% increased fuel efficiency over last year. Electronic power-assisted steering utilized to improve steering feel and fuel economy is now standard.
