The 2010 BMW X6 is available in three trims: xDrive35i, xDrive50i and the new M. BMW's AWD luxury utility is powered by either a 300 horsepower 3.0L I-6 twin-turbo engine, a 400 horsepower 4.4L V8 twin-turbo engine, or a 4.4L V8 twin-turbo M engine that produces 555 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The 35i and 50i powertrains are completed with a six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission while the M receives a six-speed M Sport automatic transmission with Adaptive Transmission Control (ATC). Standard equipment includes run-flat tires, leather seats, dual-zone air conditioning, and a stereo system with MP3 compatible CD player. The X6 offers many other luxury amenities, including the BMW communication system, heated premium leather seats, an upgraded sound system, and a keyless entry and start feature. An ActiveHybrid model will be available later in the model year.
