The base engine is a 118 horsepower 1.6L four-cylinder engine, while the S and John Cooper Works boast a 175 horsepower turbocharged version. Standard features include keyless remote entry, remote engine start, air conditioning and power windows. Safety equipment on the Cooper includes ABS brakes, stability control, six standard airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system with run-flat equipped tires. The Clubman's wheelbase is nearly 9.5-inches longer than the standard hardtops, and comes with the traditional split barn door style tailgate and side access "Clubdoor."
