The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox has been redesigned for the new model year and is available in six trims--LS, LT and LTZ in either front or all-wheel drive configurations. Updates for the new model includes revised powertrains consisting of a 2.4L Ecotec direct injection engine, as well as a new 3.0L DOHC V6 which produces 264hp. The smaller Ecotec engine is estimated to achieve 21/30 MPG for the city/highway rating. Other changes consist of six standard airbags, standard four-wheel disc brakes with electronic stability control and traction control. A new remote start system is available which activates the HVAC and heated seats during warm up or cool down, depending on the outside temperature at start.
