Introduced in 2007, the current Yaris continues for 2009 with a new model and added safety features. The Yaris sedan is again available in Base or S with either a manual or automatic transmission. Hatchback trims include a two-door with manual or automatic transmission or a four-door base or S. All Yaris models feature a 1.5L engine which produces 106 horsepower. Standard features on all models include air conditioning, center console, trunk entrapment release, integrated window antenna, and power steering. The S model makes standard an MP3 compatible stereo, rear defroster, 15-inch tires, and split-folding rear seat. Options on the Yaris include power conveniences, fog lights, theft-deterrent system, and Cold Weather Equipment Group.

THESE VEHICLES WERE NOT EQUIPPED WITH LOAD CARRYING CAPACITY MODIFICATION LABELS WHICH FAILS TO CONFORM WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS."
