The 2009 Hummer H3 is available in three trims: H3, H3x, and the H3 Alpha. The H3 and H3x are powered by a 242 horsepower 3.7L inline five-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission; where as the Alpha is powered by a 300 horsepower 5.3L V8 engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard amenities include OnStar communication system with hands-free telephone, keyless remote entry, tinted glass, and roof rails. Bluetooth wireless capability for hands-free phone operation is now standard on all models. Optional features include an R/V monitor and moon roof. Safety features include tire pressure monitor system, dual front airbags, and front and rear head curtain airbags.

Description GM IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 THROUGH 2010 HUMMER H3 VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH THE INTEGRAL CLIP-TABS ON THE LOUVER ON THE HOOD MAY FRACTURE, CAUSING THE HOOD LOUVER RATTLE AGAINST THE HOOD AND BECOME LOOSE. IF THIS INDICATOR IS UNNOTICED, ADDITIONAL CLIPS COULD FRACTURE AND THE HOOD LOUVER COULD DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE.
