For 2009, the Lexus RX is initially introduced in two models, RX 350 FWD and AWD. All models are currently powered by a 3.5-liter 270-horsepower V6 engine paired to a five-speed automatic transmission, however a V8 engine is rumored for the future. Standard amenities include all power conveniences, keyless remote entry, privacy glass, heated mirrors, and an AM/FM stereo with in-dash six-disc CD changer with MP3. Optional features include heated seats, roof rails with crossbars, and a DVD-based voice activated navigation system. A longer wheelbase seven-passenger version will makes it debut later in the model year.
