For 2008, the Jeep Compass is offered in four trims: Sport and Limited; in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. All trims are powered by a 2.4-liter engine, with a five-speed manual transmission. Saftety features include tire pressure monitor, dual front airbags, and front and rear head curtain airbags. A new color, Sunburst Orange, has also been added to color palette.
