Ford's small crossover returns for 2008 with many changes inside and outside. The Escape is again available in several trims: XLS, XLT 2.3L, XLT 3.0L, Limited, and Hybrid. The base 2.3L I-4 engine produces 153 horsepower, while the 3.0L V6 engine boasts 200 horsepower and 193 lb-ft of torque. The Hybrid features a "full" hybrid 2.3L I-4 engine, which can run fully on electricity up to 25 mph for fuel efficient city driving. Revisions for 2008 include new storage options, improved cabin quietness, more available luxury amenities, a restyled interior dash configuration. The exterior also receives a new look, along with integrated running boards and available 17-inch wheels.

Description	MARATHON IS RECALLING CERTAIN SEAT COVERS, BRAND SUPERHIDES WITH PART NUMBERS 593, 594, 578, 960, 228, 228-09, 267-08, 333, 625, AND 630, SOLD FOR USE AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FOR VARIOUS PASSENGER VEHICLES. THESE SEAT COVERS ARE MADE OF HEAVIER THREAD AND ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SEATS CONTAINING SIDE AIRBAGS. THE HEAVIER SEAT COVER COULD INTERFERE WITH FULL DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
