The Civic Coupe enters 2007 available in DX, LX, EX, and sporty Si. While almost all the trims are equipped with a 140-hp 1.8L I-4 engine, the Si is powered by a 2.0L I-4 engine boasting 197 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque. The 1.8L powertrain is completed by either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission, while the 2.0L is offered in only a six-speed manual transmission. Standard equipment across the board includes side curtain airbags, daytime running lights, a theft-deterrent system, power convenience features, and ABS brakes. Higher trims upgrade by adding a premium audio system, body-colored exterior trim, air conditioning, cruise control, and a power moonroof. The Honda satellite-linked navigation system is also available on EX models.

Consequence THIS COULD CAUSE A WHEEL TO FALL OFF OF THE VEHICLE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A CRASH.

Description ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR HOUSING USES AN O-RING SEAL TO PREVENT LEAKAGE TO OR FROM THE WHEEL BEARING. IF ASSEMBLED IMPROPERLY, THE O-RING MAY NOT SEAL PROPERLY ALLOWING WATER TO ENTER THE WHEEL BEARING AND EVENTUALLY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BEARING, ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE USE OF ROAD SALT IS PREVALENT. IF THE DRIVER CONTINUES TO DRIVE WITH THIS CONDITION IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE WHEEL BEARING TO BECOME LOOSE, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE BEARING TO FAIL.

Recall 02 - ID # 07V402000 - EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS:SWITCH

Consequence FAILURE MAY RESULT IN A LOSS OF BRAKE LIGHTS AND AN INCREASED RISK THAT THE VEHICLE COULD BE STRUCK IN THE REAR. IN ADDITION, A FAILED BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH COULD PREVENT SHIFTING THE TRANSMISSION FROM THE PARK POSITION (VEHICLES WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION).

Description ON CERTAIN SEDAN AND HYBRID (CNG) VEHICLES, DURING ASSEMBLY, THE TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN MECHANISM MAY HAVE BEEN OVER-LUBRICATED WITH SILICONE GREASE. OVER TIME, SOME OF THIS EXTRA GREASE MAY DRIP ON THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH CAUSING THE SWITCH TO FAIL.
