The 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo has added to its model line and is now available in five trims--LS, LT (3.5L and 3.9L), LTZ, and SS coupes. New for this year, the Monte Carlo features two new engines, revised audio systems, updated exterior styling including new front and rear fascias and bolder headlamp and tail lamp treatments. The interior features a more sporty appearance with revamped instrument cluster and controls. All models feature dual stage front airbags, optional side impact airbags and retuned suspension (for a wider front track). The SS model comes with the 303 hp 5.3L V8 with Displacement on Demand Technology and is designed specifically for front wheel drive. A factory installed remote starter is an available option.
