All-new in 2005 the Uplander returns for 2006 with no new changes. The Uplander is available in five models, Cargo, LS regular and extended, and LT in 2WD and a LT AWD (both extended). Chevrolet designed the Uplander to have the looks of a Sport Utility Vehicle with the passenger room and interior versatility of a van. The Uplander is powered by a 3.5L V-6 engine generating 200 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque. Safety features on all models include four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, dual stage driver and passenger air bags, and optional side impact air bags. All models are equipped with a rear entertainment system that includes a DVD player and a flip-down LCD screen. A mobile Digital Media System made by PhatNoise will allow for the storage of music, movies, and other entertainment onto a 40-gigabyte hard drive.
