The Aveo returns for 2006 with only a few changes. The Aveo is available in three trims, SVM, LS and LT, and in either a sedan or hatchback bodystyle. New features for this years' model inlcude advanced two-stage front air bags with passenger sensing system and new upholstery fabrics in charcoal/titanium colors. Standard equipment includes daytime running lights, split folding rear seat, floor console, side impact air bags, 12-volt power outlet, and electronic throttle control. Available options on the Aveo include power sunroof, CD/MP3 player, automatic transmission, engine block heater, cruise control, and Remote Keyless Entry Package, which includes power door locks and a theft deterrent system.
