The 2005 Infiniti G35 is available in five models - Base coupe and sedan, G35x AWD sedan, and 6MT coupe and sedan. New for this year, the sedan features a revised exterior with updated hood, trunk and, front and rear bumpers. The redesign also includes color-keyed side sills, along with new headlight and taillight treatments. The standard engine for all models sees an increase in horsepower, to 280-hp, for the automatics, while the 6MT model achieves 298-hp and 260lb-ft of torque. The coupe received subtle changes as well and features a more refined interior with real aluminum trim. Leather seats are now standard on all coupes and a Sport Tuned Suspension Package with 19-inch wheels is optional.

THE WIRE HARNESS CONNECTING THE BELT TENSION SENSOR (BTS) AND THE OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (ODS) CONTROL UNIT UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT CAN EXPERIENCE RELATIVE MOVEMENT WHICH CAN CAUSE WEAR AND OXIDIZATION OF THE TERMINALS AND MAY CAUSE INTERRUPTION OF THE SIGNAL.
