For 2005 the Infiniti FX returns with minimal changes. The FX remains available in three models: FX35 2WD, FX35 AWD and FX45 AWD. New for this model year is the availability of a Lane Departure Warning system. The system helps alert drivers when their vehicles drift outside of a designated traffic lane by using a small camera, speed sensor and an audible warning buzzer. Standard equipment on all FX models includes dual-stage airbags, front and rear side impact head airbags with rollover protection, aluminum interior trim, chrome-tip exhaust, dual power seats and high intensity discharge headlights. The FX45 upgrades the FX35 with a 4.5L V8 engine, 20-inch alloy wheels, heated leather bucket seats, heated mirrors, and memory adjustment for the driver's seat.
