After makings it's worldwide debut last year, the Touareg luxury 4WD SUV returns with no major changes for 2005. The line-up consists of four models: Touareg V6, Touareg V8, Touareg V8x (late availability), and the Touareg V10 TDI. Engine choices range from a 220 hp V6 to the 310 hp Turbo Diesel, which produces 553 lb.-ft. of torque. All models come standard with illuminated keyless remote control entry system, aluminum alloy wheels, Hill Descent Control, Stability Program, a power glass moonroof, and rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers. The V8, V8x, and V10 TDI also include Bi-Xenon Headlamps, Cricket Leather seat trim and Four Corner Air Suspension. Optional equipment includes Electronic Parking Assistance and an upgraded sound system.
