Returning for 2005 after a redesign in 2004, the Maxima is built on the same platform as the Altima. The Maxima is available in two model trims: SE and SL. It is powered by a 3.5L V6 engine with 265hp and paired to a five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The SE is also available with a four-speed automatic transmission. A glass Skyview roof runs along the roofline giving passengers a panoramic view of the sky. A power moonroof, rear spoiler, a Helical limited slip differential, and Vehicle Dynamic Control with full size spare tire are the only optional features not already included in a package. Other port-installed options are also available.
