For 2005, the Thunderbird is available in Deluxe, Premium, and 50th Anniversary models. Changes to the Thunderbird for this year include two new interior colors, Bronze and Medium Steel Blue (replacing the deleted colors Merlot, Vintage Mint Green and Light Ice Blue Metallic). Other revisions include the availability of two new partial interior color packages, revised aluminum trim on the center stack and door panels, and map pockets on the rear seats. Safety features include the child seat LATCH system, Smart Locks system, and a perimeter alarm. The Thunderbird features a 6.9 cubic foot trunk, which can hold two sets of golf clubs. The Light Sand Appearance Package will continue for the 2005 model year. The Premium model adds 17-inch chrome wheels and heated front seats.
