The X5 returns for 2005 with no major changes. The X5 is available in three models: 3.0i, 4.4i, and 4.8is. The 3.0i is powered by a 3.0L inline-six mated to either a six-speed manual or a five-speed Steptronic automatic. The 4.4i and 4.8is are equipped with V8 engines generating 315 hp on the 4.4i model and 355 hp on the 4.8is model. All models are equipped with BMW's xDrive AWD system. A Premium Package containing an on-board computer, BMW assist communication system, leather seat trim, power adjustable rear seatbacks, and panorama power glass moon roof is available on the 3.0i and 4.4i. The Premium Package on 4.4i also includes inside and outside automatic day/night mirrors and digital compass.
