The ECHO enters the 2005 model year available in two-door Coupe or four-door Sedan body configurations. Toyota's compact commuter is equipped with a 1.5L DOHC VVT-i engine receiving a 35/42-mpg rating with the manual transmission and 33/39 with the automatic transmission. Several Upgrade Packages are available, adding power convenience features, air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo with cassette and CD player, and exterior enhancements. Other options include side-impact airbags, power steering, ABS brakes, and a rear spoiler. Many post-production accessories can also be equipped at the dealer to personalize the ECHO.
