The 2005 Pontiac Sunfire coupe returns with minimal changes to the exterior. The Sunfire is available in three Option Groups: 1SA, 1SB, and 1SC. The upper level Option Group 1SC features sport suspension, chromed cast aluminum wheels, performance tires, a Convenience Package, a Sport Interior Package, and Security Package. For added safety, daytime running lamps are standard, while four-wheel ABS brakes and side impact airbags are available as optional equipment. The Sunfire also features a 2.2L engine providing 140-hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. Other options include a Protection Package, Sun and Sound Package, and Power Package. New exterior paint colors include Rally Yellow, and Fusion Orange.
